Patience is an important skill, especially in people management, being organized, and having good communication skills. You need to be brave enough to test different outbound reaches and messaging.
Be creative and test the waters with things. Don't just send the same message to people, especially in Web3 and crypto, as they can be quite unique.
Be persistent with your messaging and show up to work every day, ready to work 10 to 12 hours a day since you'll likely be working remotely. You will find your free time outside of work.
Another big skill is managing egos, especially in a technology company. Manage your own ego because you have ideas you want to push forward, but you also need to consider the egos of others. You don't want to step on anyone's toes, and ultimately, you want to work as a team.
Look at the job as paid education. Train yourself to understand that you are there to learn, enhance your skills, and become a better employee. This will allow you to grow within the company or move on to other opportunities.
Web3, with its small size, gives you the chance to work on many different things. I've done content, development, marketing, tech recruiting, and strategy. You get to learn how to do many different things.
