What does a day in the life of a freelance marketing specialist look like?
Absolutely. A day in the life for me looks like getting up and being at work. I'm working from home most of the time, or I'll go to someplace quiet or a coffee shop. There are a lot of options available.
Being in freelance gives you the opportunity to schedule meetings and find new clientele. In the afternoon, I primarily focus on taking a few meetings or getting production going. This involves working on creatives, blogs, or similar tasks.
I obviously use tools to help me. In this day and age, I believe everyone should be using AI in marketing. I'm not saying AI does all the work, as that's not the marketer's role.
The role of the marketer is to leverage AI to create a better product overall. It's helpful in many different aspects of the job. From there, I personally work within certain hours because you need to have time for yourself afterwards.
You need time to calm down after a day. Sometimes I work from eight in the morning to maybe 7:00 PM, but after that, it's my personal time. Maybe sometimes I'll start the next day later.
There's a lot of flexibility in freelance work. It's a very flexible way to do things, but you have to hold yourself accountable. So that's kind of what a day in my role looks like.
