What is one lesson that you have learned that has proven significant in your career?
I would say the biggest lesson I've learned is that asking questions or admitting you don't know something is not a weakness. It's actually a strength.
The way I learned this was in my first tech role. A lot of the more expert people I needed information from were six time zones away.
The only way I'd be able to do my job was if I asked them questions. So I had to become unafraid of asking, and sometimes even being annoying about it.
I found that for the most part, people want their new colleagues to be successful. They'll be very willing to help and accommodating while you're learning.
