What does a day in the life of a small business owner look like?
For my small business, the first thing I do every day is edit and review content to post on alamosa citizen.com. This can include stories or photo galleries.
I also talk to my web producer about creating video elements for the website or social media. She does excellent video editing, so we often turn content into multimedia presentations along with written stories.
After I finish with her for the day, I work with my other clients. This includes local clients and one in El Paso, Texas. I'm currently working on their brochure for summer events.
It's for the Tom Lee Institute, an artist from El Paso. After his death, they created events to celebrate his legacy.
Sometimes I also handle payroll, budgeting, or advertising inquiries. We recently hired someone part-time for advertising, and I'm training her. So, my day can involve many different tasks related to our various projects.
