Q9: Wish I'd known before entering the industry.
What have you learned about this role that you wish someone would've told you before you entered the industry?
I think to treat it like a true business. It took me a couple years to figure out that this is truly a business.
There are a lot of folks in our industry that treat it from deal to deal to deal, and they don't look at the broader picture. What's your ROI on this marketing campaign? How much are you spending here or there? And where can we help improve the health of the balance sheet?
So just being, you know, having an accurate balance sheet and making strategic business decisions based off of actual numbers and statistics, as opposed to just on a whim. I think that would probably have helped me progress a little bit faster in the industry.
