I would say the people that do the best are, it really comes down to being personable. If you are able to make friends quickly and cultivate deep relationships, that's huge.
It's not just about seeing someone at a bar and becoming acquaintances; they're not going to start sending you business. It's about the deep relationships you build.
The most successful people are those you want to be friends with. I've realized that with many super successful people I've worked with, after speaking with them, I think, "Wow, I want to be friends with this person."
So, being approachable, being social, making friends, and putting yourself out there, even outside your comfort zone, is crucial. Sales isn't easy. It's not always easy to wake up every day, put on a smile, and try to make friends.
However, being able to push yourself out of your comfort zone and become comfortable with that discomfort is also huge. These are some attributes that make people really successful in this business.
