What does a day in the life of a sales manager and senior loan officer look like?
That's a good question. Every day is different; it really depends on the deals going on and what I'm focusing on for the week or month.
Generally, I start my day answering emails, like many people do. We work mostly over email and phone, but everything is handled through email. So, I get through those emails and make calls to my partners who refer business and to different clients calling in.
It's about making sure deals are flowing and getting documentation from people. You get a lot of things thrown at you every day, but each day is a little different.
Some days, if I don't have many deals, I focus on sales and getting people in the door. Other days, I call past clients to check in, ensuring everything is going well with their homes and properties.
Some days, I'm focused on moving the mortgage process to the next step. There are many steps in a mortgage process, so we have to ensure things are done quickly, efficiently, and on time.
Every day is a bit different, but it all focuses on sales. It's also about ensuring my team is doing what they need to do and making sure my clients have the best experience possible.
