What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
Before I get to my current role, I came into the service because I wanted to fly. I truly loved flying and every minute of it. It was great.
Over time, I didn't have to give up my love of flying. I got to do other things and found that I love to learn how organizations work and I love leading them. I had the privilege of taking on more responsibilities in my career.
When you lead organizations, you get to help the people who helped you. There are so many people who mentored me and gave me opportunities. It's nice to be able to pay that back and help other people grow.
I really enjoy that. Now that I'm retired, I'm still teaching Marines. I enjoy talking about my experiences and helping other Marines grow, learn, and be good at what they do.
