What advice would you give students with a major in the social sciences who are not detail-oriented about finding their first job?

I would recommend people try a bunch of things. Find what it is that you like, find that passion where you can direct all of your energy towards what you're doing.

There's the old saying that if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life. I fully embrace that.

But you have to find what it is that you like. Sometimes it takes trial and error, and other times you get lucky and find it the first time.

Just find that one thing that wakes you up in the morning and gets you excited to go to work, and go do that.
