What skills are most important for a job like yours?

I would say a major scale for any project management role would be organization and attention to detail. There will be a lot of moving pieces for a project.

Whether it's a big statewide contract, like what I'm working on, or even a smaller set of tests. You definitely need to be organized and proactive about your organization.

Put in the extra work to make sure you understand the full scope of the project and how each moving piece goes into it. Then also, I would say communication skills.

There's lots of interacting with different groups of people, both internally and externally. You want to make sure you're presenting information clearly, but also presenting things in a positive light where possible.

Often, I'm the mediator between internal and external teams. So, I translate what we think about internally to what the external party actually cares about and wants to hear about.
