What does a day in the life of a CO look like?
Every day is a little bit different, and that's why I really enjoy this role. Typically, I allot myself some time in the morning to read several water-related newsletters that I'm part of.
Here, I identify new technologies that can be incorporated into our processes. After that, I usually check in with the leadership team to review ongoing processes and operational metrics.
Then, I spend a good amount of time meeting with project managers, project engineers, and our clients. We troubleshoot any challenges or align our strategies with our client strategies.
Throughout my day, I balance between long-term planning and immediate operational tasks. For example, in the morning, I may work on strategic initiatives.
This could involve figuring out how to gain a foothold in a new industry or how to target a new market. In the afternoon, I might spend time reviewing sign modifications or helping to resolve a bottleneck in the commissioning process at one of our facilities.
Essentially, my job is to keep the big picture in mind while making sure the details align with our overall goals.
