What skills are most important for a job like yours?

First, communication skills. Since I'm in a fully remote position, I need to be really good at communicating with my boss every day and asking my team questions when needed.

I would also say organization is important. It's crucial to know all my tasks and be able to prioritize them into what needs to be done now, tomorrow, or next week.

And then, writing skills. I didn't realize I'd be writing constantly every day, and that's really important. I probably should have paid better attention in my English classes.

Next is listening. I'm interviewing people a lot and then having to understand their point of view to create articles from that. Developing that skill has taken me some time.

Lastly, creativity in marketing. I wouldn't necessarily call myself a creative person; I'm more analytical. But I think being creative would really help when creating ad taglines or designing graphics.
