What are your main responsibilities within your current role?

In my current role, I am a marketing specialist at a corporate events agency called Go Gather. They're a super small company with about 12 people full-time right now.

My main responsibilities include planning and managing the social media content calendar for our channels: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Pinterest. I also create a lot of content for these platforms, such as videos, graphics, and posts.

I frequently interview people at my agency to generate more content. For example, I interviewed someone today about incorporating gamification at your event. I also write many blogs and articles.

A significant part of my job is improving our website's SEO, or search engine optimization. This ensures our articles and blogs appear first when someone searches for terms like "best corporate event management agency."

I work closely with project managers who attend events to collect photos and videos. We then use this content on our social media, in case studies, and to showcase to other clients.

I also assist with the sales process by qualifying leads from Google Ads to see if they are worth our time and setting up intro meetings. Sometimes, I conduct these initial meetings myself to gauge event needs for smaller clients.

For larger clients, I pass them on to our director of business development. I also help create proposals, including pricing proposals and slide decks, gathering all necessary photos and information.

Additionally, I manage our email newsletters, developing content to be sent out to our clients' databases bi-weekly or monthly. We've also developed drip campaigns.

For instance, if a client's main concern is managing a conference or budget, they'll receive targeted articles through a specific drip campaign. On top of this, I handle various other marketing projects as needed. Since it's a small team, I have to be versatile and help out wherever required.
