What entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergraduate college student might consider?

For entering the marketing field, I would suggest roles like marketing coordinator or marketing specialist. I've held both of those positions myself.

Many of my friends have gone into sales roles, such as business development personnel. You could also be a public relations coordinator or go into more niche areas like social media, for example, a social media coordinator.

I considered being a marketing analyst after earning a business analytics certification. However, I didn't have direct experience in that specific field. Unfortunately, any jobs I applied for in that area were unsuccessful.

Despite that, it's something I'm considering for the future because I find marketing analytics really interesting. Lastly, some people enter event marketing, which is also a niche area but sounds like a lot of fun.
