Transcript

So, what are your main responsibilities within your current role as a marketing manager?

My main responsibilities include setting the communications tone and writing copy. I also create advertising and marketing plans and manage a small team of two: one on the analytics side and one on the copywriting side.

I interface with the rest of the company for various internal and external communications. This ranges from annual reports and board of directors' meetings to consumer-facing sales, service, and informational materials.

We also work with trade associations to ensure the music products industry adheres to manufacturing guidelines, from import/export to specific requirements like California's cancer labels on non-edible products. These are complex aspects for a global manufacturing system to track.

My role involves informing the company about these guidelines so they remain compliant. This supports the industry's continued operation and helps drive sales of products and services.

My day-to-day goal is to steer efforts in various directions to generate revenue. I also aim to facilitate smooth industry operations through adequate communications, preventing issues like legal repercussions due to non-compliance with obscure guidelines.
