What were your main responsibilities as Director of Sales at DHL?
My two main responsibilities were developing revenue and developing people. I managed a team of 12, or 11 people. This included nine account representatives, one major account executive, and one bench representative. The bench rep was essentially the next person in line to take over a field sales role.
So, my focus was really on developing them as people and as professionals. I helped them achieve their internal goals and drove revenue. This involved developing different campaigns and running linear regressions. These analyses helped identify the key performance indicators that were driving sales numbers.
