What do you enjoy most about being in your role?

I think the thing I enjoy most, especially given where I'm at in my career, is having a balance between contributing meaningfully to engagements while also prioritizing my own learning and development. The meaningful contributions can be on any engagement, but most of the learning is focused on engaging your colleagues.

You might pick up new approaches, ways of thinking, or facilitation techniques. You're able to contribute meaningfully, oftentimes at this point in your career, by owning different work streams. Maybe it's leading client interviews.

I think that empowerment is something I really enjoy. Sometimes I feel like I shouldn't be allowed to do it because I'm 24 and still very early in my career, but it feels really good that I've been empowered and given that trust to actually contribute meaningfully.

Something specific to my firm is that Adaptive doesn't only just design strategy and give a big bill and leave, like some other consulting firms that I won't name do. We actually support our clients in executing and implementing those solutions and strategies.

That has been probably the most impactful thing to me: going from soup to nuts, designing a strategy and then supporting the client in implementing it and seeing the impact of that. I think that's definitely the thing I enjoy most.
