Q12: College ideas for success
What did you do in college to set you up for success? That's a good one. I think the biggest thing for me was balancing having a good time, which everyone should in college, with taking things seriously academically. Arizona State was a very fun college to go to, but it's really important to balance the intent of why you're at college with having fun.
Another thing that helped set me up for success was that I wasn't a hundred percent sure what I wanted to do in my career when I was in my undergrad, as I'm sure most folks are. So I focused my electives on topics I was interested in and wanted to explore further. I also made sure to build relationships with my professors and ask them questions.
A lot of these professors come from industry backgrounds, so they have a ton of knowledge. Just take things seriously, but you can still have fun where appropriate.
