Who thrives in industry?
How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?
I would say people that are curious, good communicators, and humble are the three most important things. It's easy, especially when advising people, to act like you know everything.
But as you get older, and I've learned in the last five to 10 years, people who are humble about what they know and don't know are much easier to trust. They often give better advice.
There are snake oil salesmen everywhere, and many people pretend to know things they don't. From a mutual respect standpoint, that's an important skill to have to get people to trust you and buy into what you're doing.
