What are your main responsibilities within your role?
In my role, I oversee the information systems and the information technology team, which includes the infrastructure. This encompasses enterprise-level software systems, applications, network security, and cybersecurity.
I operate on a high level, supported by an amazing team who manage the infrastructure and systems. My focus is ensuring these teams have the support and tools to meet the organization's technology needs.
This is especially important in this day and age, considering the significance of cybersecurity. I also regularly meet with department leads from accounting, HR, development, and management.
During these meetings, I aim to understand their needs, assess if our current software and systems are meeting them, and explore opportunities to improve existing systems or acquire new ones to streamline their processes. That's essentially where I sit, at a higher level. I oversee a team of about 18 people in my department.
