What does a day in the life of your role look like?
I work remotely for the most part. Sometimes I do go into one of our regional offices, or go to a school, or travel with my team. Like, I was in Nashville in December.
But I'd say about 85% of the time, you'll find me in my home office or just at my kitchen table with my laptop. My day can look really different depending on the time of year and what's going on. That's something I really like about it.
Sometimes I'm spending a portion of the day designing sessions and making slide decks, reviewing, or sending feedback to other people based on their plans that they send me. Other times, I'm in back-to-back Zoom meetings from 8 AM to 4 PM, which is good to collaborate, but that's a lot.
Other times, I'm listening to a pitch from an outside vendor for a program that I think will be beneficial to our educators. So, other times I'm leading a "Rising Leaders" session for some of our teachers at 7 o'clock at night. It just really depends on the day.
Usually, time-wise, I start around 8 in the morning and end around 4:30. So no matter what, I'm able to kind of keep those hours.
