What are your main responsibilities within your role?

Absolutely. My responsibilities generally fall into about three major categories.

The first is managing and supporting teams. I have three teams of practitioners, and that normally looks like setting direction for deliverables, answering questions, and reviewing work products.

The second is serving as a specialist or subject matter expert in my part of the world, which is in health security policy and financing. I work with other teams across my company to help with specific deliverables, helping others understand what that means and the implications for their clients, as well as conducting trainings in my own specialty.

The last part of my job is focused on business development. That's finding new opportunities for my firm to deliver impact to clients. That can look like a lot of different things: responding to requests for information, managing a team to write and present a proposal, or developing points of view on how our firm might address a pre-existing issue that our clients have.
