What are your main responsibilities within your current role?

I'm currently in both the manager and business owner roles. As a manager, leadership is my primary focus.

A significant part of that is leading by example, setting the right tone for everyone. I've experienced jobs where a boss tells others what to do but acts differently themselves. It's crucial for my management and leadership team to show that if we're all cleaning the gym, we're all participating.

Leading by example is my top priority. It's a significant responsibility. This also includes training new staff, hiring, providing feedback, both positive and negative, and handling other day-to-day and week-to-week tasks.

As an owner, my responsibilities are similar. However, I also need to support my managers and staff. I aim to create an environment where they have autonomy and can make decisions they believe are best.

I want to be a hands-off manager and owner, trusting the people in their positions to make good choices. My role is to continue supporting them in their daily work, answering their questions, and assisting with their tasks.

Being a coach is also a key part of my job. It's important for us as managers to be involved in our work, not just making decisions from afar. We need to be part of the program and the day-to-day operations so our decisions are informed.

Coaching is the best part of my job, and it's easily my favorite.
