What do you enjoy most about me in your industry?
So, when it comes to education, and specifically in this consultant coaching role of education, I'll first say that being in the field of education, I've been very blessed to have had a good education. I went to UC Berkeley, then UCLA Anderson.
I think good education really changed my life. My parents were immigrants, and to be able to attend a great university and change my story, to have more opportunities than them, I'm very passionate about the industry in general. Minus the debt, it's overall something that can help you move up in life.
Now, when it comes to coaching or consulting, this kind of freelancer coaching, I think what I really love about it is that it's really necessary. Especially in the US, we're feeling very lonely, like no one understands you. We're always trying to find a community.
While coaching isn't a whole community, it provides you a mentor, someone you can rely on for support, to feel understood, and to have your confidence built. I think that's something that really changes lives.
It's like resilience. If you don't have anyone pushing you forward, you might feel discouraged. Seeing someone else who's been through things, someone who tells you "you can do this," and gives you concrete ways to feel better and move forward – I think that's so necessary in the world. And that's something I love about the industry I work in.
