What skills are most important for a job like yours?
In employer branding, a big piece is having a love for people's stories. This means storytelling and genuinely being interested in people and what they're experiencing.
Creativity is also crucial. It's about finding new ways to approach problems and doing so in a fun and engaging manner. We can't just repeat past methods; we need to consider what will perform well and resonate with people.
It's also important to understand business needs and apply that acumen. Then, we find ways to make our initiatives interesting, compelling, and relatable to a diverse audience.
Our audience includes people in senior and junior roles, recent graduates, those nearing retirement, and individuals across the globe in fields like engineering and sales. There's a lot of variety, and the goal is to connect with a wide range of people.
Now that I'm in leadership, it's about seeing others' potential. I aim to provide experiences and projects that help them thrive, contribute significantly to the company, and grow. This is a very exciting and rewarding part of my role.
