What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
I really enjoy being involved in a global footprint. It's truly a global role, as my contract manufacturer is located in Taiwan. This gives me a lot of experience working with those individuals and observing the different cultural aspects that influence how we build relationships and do business together. That part is really cool to me.
Another aspect I enjoy is working in new product introduction. Seeing cutting-edge technology is awesome. It really feels like I'm involved in the next generation of servers and racks.
A lot of this technology has an AI focus. Seeing that being developed, and not just seeing it but understanding the core of how it works, is fascinating. While I'm by no means an expert, being involved in the development of the servers that power AI has given me a better understanding than I would have had otherwise. Being in that cutting-edge space has been pretty cool.
Finally, and this likely applies to most companies, the people I work with are pretty awesome. This is something I've found in every role. People often say they love the people they work with when they retire or leave a company, and that's an important part of being happy in your role.
