What does the day in the life of the director of stakeholder engagement look like?

You're probably going to hear this many times, and you've likely heard it already. It depends on the legislative calendar and meetings with our priority stakeholders.

What it can look like is engaging with the direct team, getting updates on how my team is doing on initiatives or priorities I've mentioned. It also involves connecting with my manager for a wider perspective on what's happening at his level and across the agency.

The underlying theme is alignment—how information is passed throughout the agency and teams so we're working cohesively and unified. It also includes engaging with other teammates.

I know this isn't very specific, but it can really vary. It might look like creating the tools I mentioned, engaging with stakeholders, or setting up meetings for site visits. It can also mean participating in bigger meetings.

Basically, it's a lot of meetings, and you hope to have time to actually sit down and get work done. Hopefully, you like the people you're meeting with, because chances are you're going to be in a lot of them.
