How would you describe people who typically thrive in your industry?

Someone with attention to detail and good storytelling skills is a good way to start a career in FP&A and really understand how to navigate the corporate finance world. But I would say someone who is very good, honestly, just with good habits in a way where you have good organization skills, discipline with getting work done, and productivity.

It's really easy to get lost in all the meetings you're in or feel like you're not really getting anything done. Then suddenly it's five o'clock and the day is over.

So it's really important to have goals listed for yourself throughout the week and try to accomplish one or two of them. This helps you know you did something productive.

I would lean in on communication skills. I think just being in business in general, being able to articulate your findings, whatever role you're in, makes it easier to navigate throughout the corporate finance world.
