A positive outlook and positive problem-solving are key. People who are natural connectors or networkers, which marketing definitely is, will do well. You're marketing to people and dealing with many different teams, so you want a personality that's more naturally able to connect with folks.
That doesn't mean you have to be an extrovert or introvert. Just know that being able to connect is part of the job.
I also think someone who can think big picture and many steps ahead is important. While we might be working on one social media post right now, I'm thinking about what we're doing for the holiday campaign. So, you want a brain that works like that.
