What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
My main job is to figure out the strategic direction for six different programs. This involves coming up with marketing plans, PR plans, and social media plans, and setting the tone for the clients.
From there, I handle project management for the teams. I manage teams that can range from one other person to upwards of ten people. This means figuring out all their tasks and how they work together, ensuring everyone has their own lanes.
I also make sure we stay within budget and meet our client deadlines. Another big portion of my job as a director is coaching junior staff, whether they are my direct reports or others I work with.
I focus on helping them advance in their careers by giving them opportunities, learning what they want to do, and providing networking opportunities. That's maybe my favorite part of my job.
