What does a day in the life of an account director look like?
Normally, I'll have maybe one to two client calls. We'll check in on the status of programs and what's going on. As a director, I don't usually lead those calls anymore; the manager on the program will.
However, I'm there for moral support and to assist with anything they might need. I'll also spend time reviewing pieces of content, social media content, PR pitches, or anything that managers and below have written for the program that requires my review and feedback.
Generally, I look at things holistically. I consider the number of projects we're handling across clients and whether there are any urgent deadlines or anyone who needs help.
Additionally, I might have a call with a senior leader, like my managing director, to discuss specific growth areas for staff, staffing for certain programs, or the agency in general.
