How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?

From my experience, the people who really thrive in marketing and communications are creative. They aren't afraid to test boundaries and think outside the box.

These individuals are naturally curious. They're always considering how to do things differently and better, and how to be more cost-effective.

People who hustle also succeed. When you first enter marketing and communications, there's a lot of grunt work.

This includes attending staff events, hauling materials, and getting out in the field. It's really hard work.

I always tell my team, "You need to put in the time, you need to put in the effort." Eventually, you'll demonstrate a strong work ethic.

You'll show you're a go-getter and dedicated to serving the organization and its mission. With that, reward will come.

If you're willing to hustle and put in the time and work, you will achieve great things in this industry.
