What skills were important for your role?
The most important things I would look for while recruiting were critical thinking, as it's key to the ability to think strategically, take a step back, and analyze a problem. Intellectual curiosity is also important, the desire to constantly learn more about new clients and industries.
"Why is this happening? Can we dig deeper?" is also a crucial question. Communication, the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with different stakeholders, is also vital.
A young analyst might have the most brilliant idea, but they need to be able to strategically think and confidently communicate it, no matter who they are in front of. This is really important.
