Significant Career Lesson From a Talent Acquisition Associate at Expert Insights Platform

A significant lesson learned throughout recruiting roles, especially in-house, is the importance of "really over communicating" due to the dual client-facing nature of the role. Establishing trust by being responsive and reliable with both internal stakeholders, like hiring managers, and external candidates is crucial for providing a good experience and ultimately excelling in the Talent Acquisition role.

What is one lesson you've learned that has proven significant in your career?

I think one thing I've really learned from all of my recruiting roles, but especially this one, is the importance of really over-communicating.

One thing that's a little unique about the recruiting industry when you're working in-house for a company is that you have a couple of different clients. You can think of your internal stakeholders, the hiring managers, as clients, and then also the candidates.

You want to provide them a really good experience. So, creating the role as a client-facing role, being really responsive and reliable, and establishing trust with everyone you're working with is super important.
