What did you do in college to set you up for success in your career?
I think the most important thing I did in college, which I'm really grateful for, was exploring a lot of different career paths while I was in school. Some people go into college with a fixed mindset about the industry they want to enter or the type of role they want.
I approached it a bit differently because I had no idea what I wanted to do. This really opened up the chance to explore different areas of the business world and psychology. It allowed me to lay out all my options before deciding on one.
Going off of that, I think it's important to get involved in any way you can, by participating in extracurriculars. I'm grateful for the relationships I built with professors on campus and club advisors.
These are the people you can really learn a lot from. If you meet someone with a path you admire, connect with them and try to learn more about it. Having those exploratory conversations was how I figured out what I was looking for.
