What does the day in the life of a Salesforce lead look like?
I'll walk you through yesterday as an example. I spent the morning designing and testing a flow, which is Salesforce's automation tool. It's a no-code automation tool.
I was designing the flow so that it would update a field. This would allow us to send a birthday email to our donors. Then, I spent some time documenting the solution and handing off the process to our email specialist.
Everyone jokes about documentation not being done, but it's really important. At the end of the day, it helps you remember why you designed something a certain way. It's also better for the team if someone is out or needs to understand why something was done. I try to have everything in writing.
Later, I met with our Salesforce and Pardot administrators. We discussed current issues and how to solve them. We also talked about what we'll be doing in the next couple of weeks.
Then, I spent the afternoon looking at fundraising figures to understand our year-over-year progress. I try to do this regularly to understand how we're doing. This ensures everything is going as planned and uses that information to inform our next campaign.
