What skills are most important for a job like yours?

Because of the ever-changing college admission landscape and process, it's very important to keep up to date. Attention to detail is especially important. Be willing to reach out and ask for help, because you can only know so much.

Sometimes I have a small group of peers I can lean on. At our Hamburg High School, we are a single high school district, so I don't really have a peer to talk to. However, because I'm a people person, I have no problem getting to know other people.

I reach out to different districts, like our neighboring districts, to ask what they do and what's going on. People skills are definitely important, along with attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Active listening is also a good skill to have.
