Biggest Challenges Faced By A Client Services Director At MarketSharePR
Kayla's biggest challenge as a Client Services Director at MarketSharePR is getting clients to understand what content is needed for marketing materials, especially when clients "have no idea what is social media worthy," which requires a lot of education and guidance from Kayla. Though challenging initially, Kayla finds it rewarding when clients "get it" because it makes the job much easier.

What is your biggest challenge in your role?
The biggest challenge in my role is probably getting content from clients. Usually, when we start working with a client to develop a brochure or social media channels, they don't have any images. They don't have an image library of their staff, facilities, or events.
So, we usually have to schedule a photo shoot day or two to create a library we can use for all our work. When working on social media for clients, they often have no idea what is social media worthy.
When I reach out and ask them to send anything they've got going on, or anything new, I'll figure out what could be interesting. They usually reply that they have no idea.
The most challenging part is teaching clients what they don't know they don't know. There's definitely a learning curve, but that can be really fun because I can totally nerd out on this stuff and my industry.
I love talking to my clients, and it's the biggest challenge, but it's also so great when they understand. That makes my job so much easier.
