How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?

In my role specifically, you have to be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and have autonomy. You need to be able to handle things on your own without requiring day-to-day guidance from your boss.

My boss is great but very busy and travels frequently, so we don't connect daily or even weekly. We usually communicate through email or text, not phone calls.

Therefore, it's important to have the ability to take initiative on things. You also have to be able to multitask, as many tasks are assigned daily from customers and various departments we work with.

Being able to multitask and prioritize is key. You need to identify your main goals for the week or month and distinguish them from tasks that can be deferred.

This isn't always easy, as something you might consider minor could be a significant issue for a customer. No one wants to hear their problem isn't the top priority. However, you have a limited number of hours in the day and must accomplish essential tasks first.

Additionally, creativity is important. This isn't just for marketing, but also for coming up with creative solutions to problems. On the sales side, these are the key characteristics. I'm unsure about operations, but they likely share many of these traits. For sales in the beverage industry, these are the key characteristics I and my teammates possess.
