A Day In The Life Of An Account Executive At A National Beverage Company
Kathleen's role as an Account Executive involves a blend of remote and in-field work; Mondays and Fridays are typically dedicated to "admin work," such as "2024 planning," while Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays are spent meeting with clients, maintaining ongoing projects, and "achieving" six-month goals. This balance of remote tasks and in-person client interaction, where Kathleen enjoys "being out in the field and talking to people," is a key aspect of the position.

What does a day in the life of an account executive look like?
Every day is a little different, as I'm sure most people will say. Although I work from home, I typically do admin work on Mondays and Fridays. This often includes tasks like making sure pricing is submitted for the following year or handling any small admin items.
From Tuesday through Thursday, I'm out in the field meeting with clients. Sometimes I just check back in on things we've been working on continuously. For example, I'm meeting with one of my partners tomorrow.
We have an ongoing list of items we're working to achieve for about six months out. We have these in-person meetings, and it definitely keeps me busy. I like being out in the field and talking to people; that's an aspect of my job I really enjoy. So, it's a lot of remote work, but a lot of field work involved, which is an important part of the job.
