What are your main responsibilities within your current role as Senior Manager of Sustainability?

I oversee event sustainability for Freeman. Our team is split into a few areas. We have a VP who handles overall strategy and company commitments.

We also work on the operations side behind the scenes, and we handle reporting and data. In my role, I'm specifically focused on supporting the event teams as they work with our clients.

This includes everything from the materials we use to finding the best suppliers. I also work with existing suppliers, identify gaps, and find new ones to fill those needs.

A lot of my work involves education. I build standard operating procedures for our internal employees on how to act on site. I also help clients ensure we're all working toward the same goal.

I believe cross-departmental collaboration is key. Understanding our role with clients, and how that differs every single day, is important. My responsibilities change as our needs change daily.
