What are your main responsibilities within your current role?

I'm focused on affordability and pricing initiatives at DoorDash. This primarily entails managing finances related to customer discounts and promotions. You can think of it as setting budgets, ensuring they're met, and sizing the expected cost of unit initiatives.

For example, if we offer $1 discounts to users from Five Guys in Southern California, we'd estimate the cost based on a certain redemption rate and consumer base. I also work with cross-functional partners in analytics, product, and operations to assess the efficiency trade-offs of various opportunities.

I previously worked on the Dasher and logistics side, where I oversaw our Dasher acquisition costs. This included our advertising budget and the cost for our Dasher referral programs. For instance, if you refer a friend and they complete 20 or 50 deliveries, you can receive a $1,500 referral bonus.
