What skills are most important for a job like yours?
In my job, my most important skills are helping skills and business administrative skills. Being able to work with students, faculty, and staff and ensure a student-centered approach is a very important skill to have in higher education.
It’s also important to be ready to help whenever you're needed. Then, as well as business administration, that is not something that I studied, but I wish I had a few classes in.
There’s a lot of work that involves writing business proposals, budgets, program management, and improving processes. So, those are really good skills to brush up on as well.
