Could you walk me through your career path? Please start with your experiences in college, any internships, or jobs you had before your current role.

My interest in higher education began with my work at UC Santa Barbara. As a student, I was part of the orientation advisors team and worked for the arts and lectures performance office. Both were really enjoyable experiences.

After I graduated, I knew I wanted to continue in higher education. I took a job as a campus representative at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. In that role, I worked with prospective students, helping them explore the different programs the college offered.

From there, I moved into alumni relations event planning at UC Berkeley. This was a shift from pre-admissions to alumni relations, so the other side of the student experience. I really enjoyed planning events for the business school alumni.

However, I eventually wanted to shift my career into international education. I pursued a master's degree in international higher education, which allowed me to move my career more into international spaces and the industry. A few years ago, I took a job at Lehigh University, managing international programs and partnerships in the College of Education.
