What skills are most important for a job like yours?

As a founder and product manager, time and energy management are very important to me. Often, you're working with limited resources.

As a founder, you need to figure out your company's runway and prioritize tasks. What can you work on right now that will ensure survival, product improvement, and revenue generation? This might mean choosing between an investor meeting or dedicating time to refine a product feature.

Given the many tasks and priorities, effectively managing your own time and energy is crucial.

Relationship building and leadership are also very important. I tend to look at these things long-term. Many people build relationships transactionally for short-term gain.

Personally, I believe it's important to appreciate people for who they are. See where you can lift others up and give them a spotlight. Give them credit for their accomplishments and the value they've brought.

Consider how you can help the people you work with become better versions of themselves. I've found that over the past five years since graduating, and even as a student leader, people who have mastered this in their careers tend to be the happiest and most successful.
