What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
In my current role at Tittle, a B2B SaaS startup, I'm working on product. This means we provide software as a service.
Tittle creates a software solution for businesses to integrate into their e-commerce platforms. This isn't for the everyday consumer, but for businesses or enterprises setting up their tech ecosystem.
We are a pre-seed startup, which means we're very early, have limited funds, and a young team. We're still refining our product and haven't scaled significantly yet. Finding our first users and customers is our top priority.
As a product manager at Tittle, my role is multifaceted, requiring me to wear many hats, similar to when I was a founder of my own startup. Currently, the focus is on sales, so I'm learning tech sales as a product manager.
This experience is quite interesting. Coming from a founder and product management background, I've found many similarities between sales and product development. Sales involves building relationships and understanding customer needs.
These insights are then brought back to the engineering team and founder to implement into new features, improve the product, and facilitate future sales. It's an interesting responsibility at an early-stage startup. I'm taking on a role I didn't expect, but it's necessary for our growth. This will also help me become a better product manager once we have more resources from successful sales.
