Q10: Entry-level positions
What entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergraduate college student might consider?
Entry-level positions for this career would be potentially an assistant manager. Sometimes you can even give them the area manager role.
If you have in-house cleaning, someone can handle the cleaning company, guest communications, or owner communications. They can also manage virtual assistants, which is how I work.
I hired someone who is 26 years old and recently hired a 21-year-old. Essentially, she will be handling the cleaners, maintenance, and ensuring everything is in order. She'll be calling air conditioning companies and pest control if needed, following up on tasks, and making spreadsheets to ensure the business runs smoothly.
Right now, I hired the 21-year-old to assist the 26-year-old. That's pretty much the role you can start with. You'll learn all about the business to the point where, if one day you want to be where I am, you can start your own business.
It's not rocket science; it's just a lot of work and a lot of learning. But it's not a hard business.
