Transcript

What are your main responsibilities within your current role as a product manager?

At Warner Brothers Discovery, I focus on our subscription service, Discovery Plus. Within Discovery Plus, my focus is on acquisition.

In acquisition, I concentrate on two key areas: analytics and experimentation. In both of these, I'm essentially focused on how we can gain more subscribers to our streaming video service.

Through analytics, I think about how we can better understand our metrics to get more subscribers. With experimentation, I focus on doing different tests, like A/B tests, to understand what will lead to more subscribers.

Some of the responsibilities that encompass all of that are getting buy-in from either my direct leadership or from teams like design, legal, and project management. In addition to that, it's about thinking strategically, considering how we can get more subscribers before we do the work.

Once we have a strategy, it's really about writing requirements and drafting out the specifications for what we're going to do.
