What are your main responsibilities within your current role?

Well, everything. I started a company with my business partner and one other person. So, obviously my responsibilities five years ago, when we were just getting this off the ground, are very different from what we do day to day now.

When it comes to building and running a business, everything's my responsibility at the end of the day. I have employees who run the day-to-day operations. I have a salesperson who helps with recruitment, and I work with some writers.

So, first off, it's managing all these different people, making sure they're performing at their best. This includes ensuring they hit the deadlines and the metrics that we've set for our goals.

But beyond that management realm, it's also operations. I run the website, I run the blog, and I manage the social media experience. I'm also always thinking about conversion, how to improve sales, and how to improve our customer experience. This applies whether they are on the website or once we've engaged them in person.

So, really, what are my responsibilities? My responsibilities are to keep the ship afloat, do my best to continue to build it bigger and bigger, and put out every fire that comes up pretty much on a daily basis. In short.
