A Day In The Life Of An Administrative Coordinator At A Healthcare Provider
An administrative coordinator at a healthcare provider spends time both in-office and working remotely, with in-office days spent preparing "educational materials" for patients and remote days dedicated to contacting "20 to 30 patients a day" to confirm appointments and address questions from patients and their care partners. Ultimately, the goal is to provide any "assistant that they need prior to meeting with our providers".

So, what does a day in the life of an admin coordinator look like?
I'm actually a hybrid physician. There are times I would go into work two days a week to help set up all our educational materials for patients coming in person.
When I work from home, I usually give calls to about 20 to 30 patients a day. This is to give them a heads-up about their upcoming appointment.
I also answer any questions that not just the patient, but their care partners might have. Then, I provide any assistance they need prior to meeting with our providers.
